One of the biggest selling games ever on the Game Boy Color is, believe it or not, Disney's Tarzan released by Activision over three years ago. This banana-collecting platformer based upon the animated film has sold like a bazillion copies worldwide, and this jungle bellower is about to treesurf his way back onto the handheld scene in the Game Boy Advance sequel due out this holiday: Disney's Tarzan: Return to the Jungle.

The game is being developed by the same development studio responsible for the Apeman's first Game Boy Color adventure: Digital Eclipse. The team is revisiting the formula that made the game such a success on the 8-bit handheld, and adding to it with brand new gameplay elements.

In Return to the Jungle, players assume the role of Tarzan as a young lad just learning the vines, swinging and sliding around on the trees, collecting bananas while avoiding the hazards of the environment. As players progress through the levels, they'll gain access to Adult Tarzan, who's stronger and more agile, and with more techniques to utilize.

Check out the new screenshots of the game in action. We'll have more details on the game as it progresses through its development cycle.
