Barbie: Groovy Games Gets Down to GBA

From the makers of Battlefield 1942?

We have no idea how this one worked out, but we like to think it went something like this: the development studio at Digital Illusions is slaving away for over 2 years on the hard-slugging Battlefield 1942. They're tired, worn out, and ready for the big sleep. Then Barbie walks in the door! "Hi fellows, want to play a game?" she asks. "Why yes, Barbie," the over-worked staff says, "but which game shall we play?" That sure is a good question, and nobody has an answer ... until Barbie says, "Let's MAKE a game!!!"

"Yeay Barbie!"

Alright, so it probably went nothing like that. For one, the development studio was Digital Illusions Canada, which we're not even sure was connected to their co-teammates in Sweden. Even so, the last place we expected to see the DICE logo next was on a Barbie game for girls on the Game Boy Advance. And yet, here it is: Barbie: Groovy Games, a collection of mini-games from Vivendi Universal.

IGN will be getting its groove on with Barbie in the next couple days for a full review, but until then, check out these brand new shots of the plastic fashion plate doing her thing on GBA.
