Mass Effect Movie Murmurings

A Mass Effect movie steps closer to reality, with an option being taken up on the film by a senior Hollywood producer.

Variety is reporting that ex-Marvel CEO Avi Arad has taken up the rights to the film, and with his company Avi Arad Productions currently at work on the live-action version of anime classic Ghost in the Shell it would appear he certainly has the credentials to bring EA and BioWare's sci-fi RPG epic to the big screen.

Mass Effect joins many other games currently mooted to make the move to film, with a number of projects in various states of production. But how will the game's multi-faceted narrative make it to the big screen? And will that sex scene remain intact?
